Championing Pacific food security and climate justice

We are proud to celebrate that our very own Filipe Veisa from the Centre for Sustainable Futures, University of the South Pacific, was among the distinguished experts participating in the Adaptation Futures Conference 2025 (AF2025) at the University of Canterbury, in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Adaptive Futures is the world’s leading international climate change adaptation conference, bringing together practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and academics from across the globe to gather to network, collaborate, learn, and inspire action.

Filipe contributed as a panellist on the critical topic: “Shifting Food Systems: Climate Crisis and Food Security in Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICT).”

His insights championed Pacific food security and climate justice, highlighting the urgent need for adaptive action and system change in the face of the climate crisis -https://www.usp.ac.fj/news/veisa-champions-pacific-food-security-and-climate-justice-at-global-adaptation-futures-conference/
